Architecture and Computer Science Students Collaborate on Howard West Design

Howard West Student Collaboration

The architectural design process of Howard West is underway. Architect Danish Kurani, in partnership with Google, Inc., led the Vision Workshop in the Howard H. Mackey Building yesterday to gauge computer science students' learning space needs directly through students' thoughts and suggestions.

Architecture students consulted with their computer science clients to help provide the optimal design to ensure their clients' comfort in the ultimate learning space.

Together students brainstormed to extract three verbs from which stemmed the design features students feel will encourage learning, risk-taking, community-building, and of course, relaxation!

Students were invited to visit Kurani's firm on the West Coast during the summer to participate in Howard West design sessions.
