Financial Aid

Students may apply each year for financial aid by completing a College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) Request for Financial Aid and a FAFSA need analysis. Both forms are available from the CEA Office of Student Services (OSS). The Cost of Attendance may be offset by seeking financial aid through fellowships, scholarships, or grants.

A limited number of scholarships and grants are available through the College of Engineering and Architecture. University scholarships consist primarily of freshman scholarships and trustee scholarships. Visit Howard University Student Financial Services for more information on university scholarships.

Scholarships available directly from CEA are those sponsored by corporate and alumni donors and friends of Howard University. These scholarships are distributed at the beginning of each academic year (usually between July and September) and range from $500 to $5000 per scholarship. Please contact OSS if you would like to be added to the list of students considered for these awards.

Students may also pursue external funding opportunities through organizations such as:

National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering

The National GEM Consortium

U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration
