NAAB Accreditation
Current Accreditation Term & Last Site Visit
The Bachelor of Architecture program was visited by the NAAB site visit team from March 31 to April 4, 2018. The NAAB board granted the Master of Architecture program an eight-year term of accreditation at its July 2018 meeting, extending the program's accreditation to 2026. (NAAB Accreditation Letter)
In accordance with NAAB requirements for public disclosure, the Howard University Department of Architecture specifies that the program was evaluated during its last site visit under the 2014 NAAB Conditions for Accreditation and the 2015 NAAB Procedures for Accreditation. 2026 Site Visit
The program was evaluated for its next accreditation cycle in April 20-22, 2026. The review was assessed against the 2020 NAAB Conditions for Accreditation and the 2020 NAAB Procedures for Accreditation.
Most architecture registration boards in the United States require a degree from an accredited professional program. The pass rate of Howard architecture graduates on the Architecture Registration Exam (ARE) is available at the NCARB website.
